Boston's Seaport District Apartment Rents Plummet

According to the Boston Business Journal, the once rising apartment prices in Boston's Seaport District are actually dropping - they fell by almost 9%  in Q3 2013 - due to the influx of 450 new apartments ready to lease. Average rents in the 3rd Quarter of 2012 were $2,136. This year in Q3, rents are averaging $1,952.

The Seaport is Boston's "hottest" neighborhood, with the addition of the new ICA, Convention Center, buildings such as FP3 Lofts on Congress Street, and the restaurants / retail / office space to go with it.
